Permaculture Stewards Program

$300.00

There’s something powerful that happens when young people are trusted with real work. When their hands are in the soil, their ideas are taken seriously, and they can see the impact of what they’ve created.

This program invites children to step into that space. To slow down, observe, build, and belong. Each session is a chance to connect with the land, to understand how things grow, and to feel the quiet pride that comes from creating something useful and lasting.

It’s not just about gardening. It’s about growing capable, grounded humans who know how to care for the world around them.

The Permaculture Stewards program is designed for homeschooled children aged 9-15, and delivers small-group (8), hands-on program designed to teach permaculture through real-world application. Participants will learn core principles by actively designing and building systems on the farm.

Sessions include soil preparation, garden bed construction, system design, observation of natural patterns, and ongoing site development. Each student receives weekly handouts for future reference, a workbook to support learning, track ideas, and apply concepts beyond the program.

This is practical, skills-based education that builds confidence, problem-solving ability, and a working understanding of regenerative systems.

It is expected that the parent / guardian will stay with the child for the duration of the lesson, as the term is curated as a journey for the whole family - not just the child in isolation. The class is delivered by demonstration & verbally by Jacqui - directly to the participants. No screens or devices are used.

Please dress appropriately for the season and weather, have enclosed shoes, hats, drink bottles and lunch! There will be a large outdoor component to all lessons. In extreme weather alternative lessons are planned for… but we will work in light rain, wind and moderate heat. Gloves and any required equipment will be provided.

This booking is for Term 2 of 2026, with the classes running fortnightly on a Thursday from 10am until approximately 2:30pm.
